Jayme Wood

Director of Women's Ministry

Jayme Wood has served as Director of Women’s Ministries at FBCWF since 2021, but her ministry journey actually began at this very church. While studying at Oklahoma Baptist University, Jayme interned under Jerry Royal, an experience that planted early seeds of ministry in her life. After graduating and gaining experience in various careers, the Lord clarified her passion for walking with women—helping them connect deeply with one another and with God. Returning to FBCWF to live out that calling has been a full-circle gift she cherishes. Jayme also holds a degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her favorite passage, Psalm 131, has grounded her through key seasons of life—marriage, motherhood, and ministry—reminding her to rest in the God who holds all things together. She married Randy Wood in 2007, and together they share life, family, and ministry. Their children—Owens, Murphy Jane, and Maggie—fill their home with laughter, character-shaping moments, and glimpses of Jesus. Outside of ministry, Jayme enjoys soaking baths, reading, coffee in all forms, rainy days with no agenda, and attending concerts with Randy. What she loves most about serving at FBCWF is the opportunity to remind women they are seen, known, and loved by a God who stayed on the cross and walked out of the tomb to be in relationship with them.
