Over the next 40 days, we invite you to join us in intentional prayer as we seek the Lord’s guidance for launching a Spanish ministry alongside our current services. We believe God wants to reach more families in our community with the hope of the gospel, and we want to begin well: in prayer.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
Pray that this Spanish ministry would be built by God, not by human effort alone. Ask Him to lay a strong spiritual foundation from the very beginning.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Pray that our pastors and leaders would trust the Lord fully as they plan, even when details are unclear.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God.”
Ask God to give wisdom in decisions about leadership, structure, service format, and timing.
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”
Pray for deep unity between the English and future Spanish congregations. Ask that there would be one church with one mission.
“Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers.”
Pray specifically that God would raise up and send the right Spanish speaking pastor for our church.
“I will give you shepherds after my own heart.”
Ask God to provide a shepherd who loves Christ, loves people, and faithfully teaches the Word.
“If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.”
Pray that the man God is calling would clearly sense His leading and step forward in obedience.
“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work.”
Pray that the Holy Spirit would clearly confirm the right leader and make His will unmistakable.
“We will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Pray that this ministry would be rooted in prayer and centered on faithful preaching.
“My word shall not return to me empty.”
Ask God to use every sermon and Scripture reading to bring conviction, encouragement, and salvation.
“That your saving power be known among all nations.”
Pray that many Spanish speaking families in our community would come to know Christ.
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.”
Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit in outreach, preaching, worship, and leadership.
“How are they to hear without someone preaching?”
Pray that the gospel would be proclaimed clearly, boldly, and compassionately in Spanish.
“He who began a good work will bring it to completion.”
Pray with confidence that God will sustain and grow this ministry over time.
“God is not a God of confusion but of peace.”
Pray for clarity in planning, smooth logistics, and peace among leaders.
“Establish the work of our hands.”
Ask the Lord to bless the practical details such as scheduling, volunteers, and space preparation.
“Let us not grow weary of doing good.”
Pray for endurance and joy for everyone serving behind the scenes.
“God gave the growth.”
Pray that we would rely fully on God for spiritual growth and not be discouraged by numbers.
“God is able to make all grace abound to you.”
Pray for financial provision, resources, and generosity to support this ministry well.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord.”
Pray that every volunteer and leader would serve with excellence and Christ centered joy.
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Pray that love would be evident between both congregations and in every interaction.
“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Ask God to guard us from selfishness and help us consider the needs of Spanish families.
“One generation shall commend your works to another.”
Pray for strong children and youth ministry that disciples the next generation faithfully.
“God arranged the members in the body.”
Pray that God would bring the right volunteers, musicians, teachers, and helpers.
“Shepherd the flock of God that is among you.”
Pray that the future pastor would shepherd gently, faithfully, and humbly.
“Let your light shine before others.”
Pray that this ministry would be a visible testimony of Christ in our community.
“I make it my ambition to preach the gospel.”
Pray for boldness and passion to reach those who do not yet know Christ.
“Pray that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored.”
Pray that the gospel would spread quickly through families and friendships.
“I will give you a new heart.”
Pray for true conversion, repentance, and transformed lives.
“Oh, magnify the Lord with me.”
Pray that worship in Spanish would be joyful, biblical, and Christ exalting.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”
Pray that this ministry would not only gather attenders but make faithful disciples.
“When he saw him, he had compassion.”
Ask God to give our church deep compassion for the spiritual and practical needs of families.
“And let us exalt his name together!”
Pray for meaningful unity when both congregations gather for joint services and events.
“Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest.”
Pray again specifically for clarity and timing in calling the right Spanish pastor.
“Establish the work of our hands.”
Ask God to make this ministry stable, healthy, and sustainable for years to come.
“In due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Pray for patience and faith if growth seems slow at first.
“They may see your good works and give glory to your Father.”
Pray that the broader community would see Christ through this ministry.
“He will make straight your paths.”
Pray for clear direction in every remaining decision and next step.
“A great multitude from every nation and languages.”
Pray with a vision of heaven, remembering that this work reflects God’s global plan.
“To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
End by praising God in advance for what He will do and committing this ministry fully to Him.
This is more than launching a service. It is asking God to build a gospel work that will last for generations and bring glory to His name. As we pray together, we believe He will move in powerful ways.
Unless He builds the house, we labor in vain. But when God’s people pray, He moves.
