Private Lessons (Music Academy)

Private instruction consists of one 30 minute lesson per week (45 or 60 minute lessons for advanced students may be available). The Music Academy stresses individual practice time. Students (and parents of young students) should be prepared to practice on their instrument several times each week for at least 15 minutes. More advanced students will require extra practice time. Our instructors do everything they can to make lessons a great experience, but there is no substitute for a student's preparation. Plan to practice, follow through, and you are set for a rewarding musical journey, the benefits of which will last a lifetime! Scroll to the bottom for the form to enroll!

Location

All lessons will be taught on the campus of First Baptist Church in secure areas. The Academy requires that parents of students under the age of 18 be present at each lesson and either sit in the classroom or just outside the door. Children are never to be left alone to wait for their ride or allowed to wander the campus without supervision. Some instructors require that a parent attend the lesson with his or her child. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but these policies are in place to protect children and instructors alike.

Dress Code

We require all students to dress neatly and modestly for their lessons. Appropriate recital attire is required for recital performances.
