Senior Adult Ministry at FBC is centered in the L.I.F.E. Groups (Sunday Morning Bible Study). Senior Adults is more a life stage than an age. Many Senior Adult activities involve people from 60 to 85. Many if not most of our Senior Adults are retired but continue to be very active in the different ministries of FBC including Music, Homebound, Missions and L.I.F.E. Groups. The Senior Adult Ministry seeks to provide learning, involving and ministry opportunities for Senior Adults. We provide an environment in which Senior Adults find support when dealing with common issues and grow in their relationships with God.
The cornerstone of the Adult Ministry is our L.I.F.E.groups (Bible study departments and classes), which are divided by age and life stage to better help meet the needs of each phase of life. The classes provide opportunities for Bible study, ministry involvement, mission projects, fellowships and social events.L.I.F.E. groups meet on Sunday mornings at 8:00, 9:15 and 10:50. Adult Married Bible study classes offer opportunities for leading small group studies, care group leaders, greeting guests, maintaining class records, planning socials, organizing mission projects and more. For more information, visit with the director of your department or your teacher.
Men are encouraged to get involved in Barnabas Groups (weekday), which are small groups designed for Bible study, accountability and prayer. Men's Steak and Praise is a regular event which includes a delicious steak dinner, worship, fellowship, fun door prizes and guest speakers to motivate and encourage men.
