The objective of Outfitters, the Men's Ministry of First Baptist Church, is to lead men to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Outfitters programs and events are designed to equip men to become Godly leaders in the home, church, workplace and neighborhood. "As Iron sharpens iron..." from Proverbs 27:17, men sharpen one another in weekly small groups and mentoring relationships. Men are also encouraged in their Christian walk through Steak-N-Praise semiannual events, sports outings and other activities. Mens' Steak-n-Praise. Sounds great, doesn't it! The thematic evening event takes place semi-annually and is intended to unify the men of First Baptist church. Always an anticipated event, the evening includes a great steak dinner with all the fixins, fun giveaways, meaningful worship and often a guest speaker. Started in 2002, the Men's Steak-n-Praise has become a mainstay of the dynamic men’s ministry here at FBC.
